We invite you to meet the team of qualified, friendly physiotherapists. Our physiotherapists offer the highest level of neuro physiotherapy, rehabilitation and recovery physiotherapy, and gentle physiotherapy for the elderly. Our home visit physiotherapy appointments can be made to suit you whenever is convenient. We are all chartered and state registered physiotherapists based in the Essex area, extending into Hertfordshire, treating a wide variety of medical conditions. Our neuro physiotherapist is Bobath trained with years of experience

Suzanne Maddison Physiotherapist

Suzanne Maddison - Physiotherapist (University of East London 1996)

Since qualifying, I have worked in renowned London teaching hospitals specialising in respiratory care and rehabilitation of the acutely unwell patient. I have worked in the NHS for over 15 years, my last post as Lead therapist for Critical care and Surgery at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. My area of expertise lays with those patients who require rehabilitation following illness or surgery. I am able to provide comprehensive management for those with respiratory conditions such as bronchiectasis and COPD. I am fully trained in the provision of CPAP therapy for sleep apnea and can assist those patients on non-invasive ventilation.

Lottie Armitage - Occupational Therapist

I have worked with adults with a variety of conditions across both acute and rehabilitation settings within the NHS (cardiology; orthopaedics; respiratory medicine; elderly care; oncology and surgery). My most recent post is at the St. Andrews Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery where I work with complex and life changing injuries. My aim with any individual I work with is to deliver a personalised high quality assessment and intervention plan. I have expertise within the assessment and rehabilitation for people having undergone illness or injury; assessment for aids and equipment and for seating/wheelchairs.

Kylie Marks Physiotherapist

Kylie Marks - Physiotherapist (Qualified at the University of Essex 2008)

Since qualifying I have worked in both acute hospital and rehabilitation settings for over 9 years. I have a wide range of experience in elective and trauma orthopaedics, critical and respiratory care, neurological rehabilitation and avoiding hospital admission. I am experienced in managing patients with acute complex medical needs, as well as those requiring more longer term and graded rehabilitation, for instance following spinal injury or poly trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse group of patients and strive to provide high quality assessments and individualised treatment plans which allow patients to achieve their goals.

Prue Relland Physiotherapist

Since qualifying I have worked for the NHS in a variety of acute settings including cardiothoracic, elderly care, outpatients, neurology and orthopaedics. For the past eleven years I have been working at the world renowned St Andrews Centre for Burns and Plastic surgery in Chelmsford. I am competent in working with patients with a range of rehabilitation needs including respiratory patients with artificial airways and amputees. I aim to deliver a holistic approach to my assessment and treatment sessions in a friendly and caring way.

Rachel Ready Physiotherapist

Rachel Ready - Physiotherapist (Qualified University of East London 2001)

I have worked in the NHS and in the independent/ charity sector since qualifying. Most recently at a Hospice in Colchester providing specialist palliative care assessment and treatments for a variety of oncological and non oncological conditions. I am experienced in specialist respiratory management for breathlessness and breathing dysfunctions, usually following a traumatic event. I have experience in falls prevention/ balance rehabilitation, orthopaedic and elderly rehabilitation. I am qualified in mat and ball based pilates and enjoy using these exercise and treatment techniques. My aim is to provide a holistic, timely, personalised assessment and treatment programme in your own environment that fits into your lifestyle.

Claire Booth Physiotherapist

Claire Booth - Physiotherapist (Qualified at University of East London 1994)

I have been working as a Senior Physiotherapist at Broomfield Hospital for over 20 years specialising in:- Intensive Care and Medical Ward Patient Care Elderly Patient Care Respiratory Care Amputee and Post-surgical Rehabilitation I work closely with patients, families and carers to create a goal plan that is specifically tailored to the patient’s condition, needs and personal objectives. My ultimate aim is to increase mobility, balance, fitness and stamina following illness and / or surgery with the clear purpose of enhancing long-term quality of life. I deliver a professional, friendly, safe and caring approach drawing upon nearly 25 years of physiotherapy experience.

Sarah Massey - Occupational Therapist (Qualified University of Cumbria)

I have been working as an Occupational Therapist for over 10 years since graduating from the University of Cumbria. Since qualifying I have completed all of my core rotations in general medicine, cardiology, elderly care, orthopaedics, stroke and oncology before specialising in Neurology over 6 years ago. Since then I have worked in a variety of neurological settings including the Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. I have worked with people with complex neurological conditions including, MS, MND, Gillian Barre Syndrome, Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injuries, mainly within the hospital setting but also the community. I have undertaken additional postgraduate training in the Bobath concept, Assessment and Treatment of cognitive impairments and Perceive, Recall, Plan, Perform (PRPP) Assessment of Occupational Performance. I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Neurology specialist section.I am professional, caring and enthusiastic person. I aim to provide a holistic approach to patient care and believe in the importance of both patient and family being at the centre of therapy.

Studied at Essex University and gained a 1st Class BSc in sports and exercise science Kings College, London Masters Degree in Physiotherapy Distinction After gained a wide varied of experience as a new graduate. I am now successfully working as a specialist physiotherapist at Basildon hospital in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I work privately in the field of musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation of all ages. One of my strengths is health and fitness, with expert knowledge in a wide variety of exercises and programmes for strength and conditioning. I have attained level 3 in sports massage and am a level 2 gym instructor. I take a very much hands on approach to treating my patients problems. I enjoy the challenge of designing rehabilitation programs to return each patient back to activities. I pride myself in taking a holistic approach to patient care.

Helen Morgan Physiotherapist

I am an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with an interest in helping those with neurological conditions. I qualified from Southampton University in 2005 and have worked in a variety of settings in the NHS, including outpatients, respiratory care including pulmonary rehab groups, elderly rehabilitation and post-surgical rehabilitation. I have specialised in neurological rehabilitation since 2008, working with people with complex Neurological conditions including Parkinson’s, Guillain barre, Stroke, and MS on inpatient wards, within the community in home or care environments, in clinics and an MS group. Most recently, I have been working as a team lead and highly specialist Physiotherapist on the Maldon stroke rehabilitation unit. I have undertaken additional postgraduate training in the Bobath concept, Functional Electrical Stimulation, Upper limb therapy, postural management and management of specific neurological conditions. Izzy Miller Physiotherapist

Izzie Miller- BTEC Level 5 Diploma (London School of Sports Massage)

Izzie has a BTEC level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy from the London School of Sports Massage (LLSM) and is also a member of the SMA; the association for soft tissue therapists. Izzie has always had a keen interest in understanding how the body works and with over a decade of teaching yoga to individuals and groups with a range of abilities she found herself wanting to take her knowledge to the next level. She qualified with the LLSM in 2015 and worked in various professional settings to assist chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists. As a result of her dedication to clients she has built a solid reputation for providing professional, effective treatment without frills. A treatment that puts the client first. Izzie is well established and experienced in treating a variety of conditions such as sciatica, scoliosis, tennis elbow, rotator cuff, shin splints as well as various knee, hip and foot conditions. Using massage and other advanced soft tissue techniques to release tension, aid recovery from injury, ease soft tissue restrictions and to improve overall movement and feeling of well-being. She is also qualified in techniques such a dry needling, kinesiology taping and pregnancy massage and continues to teach yoga to date.

I am a hardworking and dedicated physiotherapist, ensuring patients are at the heart of everything I do. My previous experiences in health care industry and nursing experience equipped me with effective and excellent skills in managing patients' care and treatment, as well as promoting their quality of life. During my career I have demonstrated accuracy in completing neurological and musculoskeletal assessment formulating individualised treatment plans to meet patients’ needs. Having gained experience working in different settings such as stroke rehabilitation ward and neuro-outpatients in the community and private hospital it has enabled me to provide comprehensive treatment. My role in GP Surgery involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating Musculoskeletal conditions. The orthopaedic ward setting enables me to give high quality of therapy to patients recovering from neck or back surgery or joint replacement. My main priority is to work closely with patients and their families in the goal achievement process, so promoting their quality of life and a healthy future.

Since qualifying, I have worked in a variety of settings in the NHS, including orthopedics, MSK, elderly care and surgical. However, I found my passion for neuro-rehabilitation whilst on my first stroke ward at Broomfield Hospital. Since then, I have specialised in neurological rehabilitation which involves seeing patients with a variety of neurological conditions including, stroke, MS, Parkinsons’s, Guillain Barre Syndrome as well as head and spinal cord injuries. I am caring, down to earth and have a comprehensive, patient focused treatment approach to help patients achieve their goals.

Andy qualified from Brighton University in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist across the NHS, private practice in central London, and elite sport. He has extensive expertise in post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation and pre-operative preparation, helping patients optimise their outcomes around surgery. Andy specialises in neck, back, shoulder, and upper limb conditions but has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal issues. His approach is patient-centred and hands-on, focusing on meaningful improvements and shared decision-making to help each individual reach their goals.

Following studying Exercise and Health Science at the University of Brighton to then completing my Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Essex and achieving a 1st Class BSc Hons I now work within the National Health Service. I rotate around services including stroke and respiratory wards, intensive care units, accident and emergency departments and frailty assessment units providing rehabilitation support and advice to promote continuing independence in the community. I pride myself in supporting patients achieve their individual goals with a patient centred holistic approach to rehabilitation with personalised plans and exercises. With over 10 years of experience at the renowned St Andrews Burns and Plastics, specialising in adult rehabilitation, as well as an additional 5 years in the private sector, I have developed a deep passion for recovery and rehabilitation. Hayley Morley - Therapy Assistant

I have worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant for many years including for 10 years at Broomfield Hospital. During my time at Broomfield Hospital, I worked in many areas including Upper GI and colorectal surgery, vascular surgery, amputee rehabilitation, oncology, respiratory care, intensive care, orthopaedics and care of the elderly. I had a special interest in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and amputee rehabilitation. I have worked for Maddison Health since September 2023. I am a friendly and enthusiastic member of the team and pride myself on building professional and strong relationships with my patients so they feel safe and confident, allowing them to reach their full potential. I have qualifications in Health and Social Care and a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. I am also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
