All our assessments and treatment sessions are carried out in the privacy of your own home. Having a home visit removes a lot of the problems associated with clinic appointments:

• Removes the risk of delay to your appointment or missing it by traffic or transport delays.
• You do not need to find a parking space.
• It removes the loss of work time or travel time as you are seen at a time to suit you and your family.
• The most important reason is we can provide functional rehab in your home. We set up exercises you can carry out at home with targeted goals giving you the best outcome measures.

All the physiotherapists are chartered and state registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Our occupational therapists are also state registered and members of the Royal College of OTs. We are also very fortunate to have a specialist speech and language therapist too.

We can give you an indication of the number of sessions you will require after your assessment. It does depend on many factors; the condition you have and how long you have been experiencing your problems. A person wanting advice on what they can and cannot do will only require one or two sessions. Someone who has had surgery and a hospital stay will require rehabilitation over a longer period. Therefore, they may need six sessions or more. We also offer long term treatment plans for people with more complex needs. This would be discussed on an individual basis.

No, you do not need to pay on the day. An invoice is sent to your home or to your email address at the end of each month. You can then pay by cash, cheque or via BACS. We request payment is made within 14 days to avoid additional administration charges.

The cost is the main disadvantage of seeing a private physiotherapist compared to the NHS is that you have to pay to see them. The cost varies depending where you live; London being the most expensive and places like Glasgow or Belfast being cheaper. We provide a home visit service only seeing you in the comfort and privacy of your own home. These appointments are all an hour an hour initial and an hour follow up.  The price we quote is dependent on where you live in Essex.  Our price includes our full travel costs and the professionals time in your own home. If you are seen for an hour, you will be charged for the hour if you were seen for an hour and a half or two hours the change of the price will be accordingly so you will be charged for one hour and 30 minutes of the professionals time or two hours of the professionals time we are happy to accommodate if you have more than one problem and we can spend longer than the hour, please do indicate this at the time of booking.

Charges are applicable if:

• A report is needed for another professional body or for an insurance company.
• A clinical telephone call is needed that takes up the therapist’s clinical time. Hourly rate is charged.

We are recognised by all the major insurance companies and private medical insurers such as Simply Health, Aviva, Axa PPP, WPA, Cigna, The Exeter and Vitality. Invoices are sent directly to the insurer if required. Authorisation from your insurer is required prior to treatment.
